Marijuana Peddler Attempts Counter Assault during Arrest
A marijuana peddler was captured by authorities from Task Force 24 who
tried to escape from the policemen and attempted to get a bolo but was given warning shots by the police.
The arrested suspect during the buy bust operation at Barangay Batinguel the other day was identified as Rommel Catan who is a resident of the same place.
Confiscated from the suspect were two match boxes containing dried marijuana leaves, two rolled marijuana and a stick of the same plant.
One member of Task Force 24 pretended to be a buyer of marijuana sticks and just in time when Catan handed over the item, authorities directly arrested but the suspect tried to escape and even attempted to get a bolo. But a member of the Task force abruptly gave him three warning shots and the suspect was arrested right away.
The arresting officers were NBI Head Atty. Dominador Cimafranca, Senior Agent Miguel Dungog, Nicanor Tagle, NBI operative SPO1 Boy Sanchez, PO2 Glenn Corsame of PDEA, PO1 Aldrin Ramirez from the CIDG, DOJ Representative Anthony Benlot, Batinguel Barangay Kagawad Harold Baroy and Media Representative Jojo Fabillar.;
