Hospital-arrest eyed on LaLib ambush suspect -F
The Star witness of the Barangay Manluninsag Ambush case is already in a safe condition after he suffered from a heart attack inside his prison cell at Guihulngan City.
Star witness William Paunillian endured a heart failure in his prison cell but was directly brought to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital where he is now recuperating and is already in a safe state.
According to Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office Director Sr/Supt Melvin Ramon Buenafe, Paunillian is provided with a tight security. Paunillan was the primary suspect during the ambush in Barangay Manluminsag in May last year which claimed some lives. Paunillian was turned into a witness after he revealed that former solon Jing Paras was the brain behind the crime. However, Paras strongly denies the allegation.
Last February 15, during the preliminary investigation, Paunillian attended the hearing and stood firm with his statement. The case is now submitted for a resolution and state prosecutor Cielitolindo Luyun is expected to release the resolution of the case by April 14 -15 of this year.
