Mayor defends DSWD head
Dumaguete City Mayor Agustin Perdices defended the head of the Department of Social Welfare and development here in the city after being charged at the Ombudsman by one of its former employees.
In an interview over DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight, Mayor Perdices said that ever since time immemorial, Marina Mendoza was never involved in any anomalies.
Earlier, Lorna Ceriales filed a complaint at the Ombudsman against Mendoza due to her alleged irregular practices.
Mayor Perdices disclosed at Dumaguete Tonight that in his conversation with Mendoza, she said that she was neither affected nor disturbed by the complaint filed by Ceriales. Perdices also challenged Ceriales to file appropriate charges against all department heads who are according to her are doing irregular practices in their offices. He added that if Ceriales can prove her allegations then he will be the first one to commend her.
