4 million Damage by Fire


A huge fire incident gulped residences and business establishments along Perdices and Sta. Rosa Streets in the city of Dumaguete yesterday morning.

According to Senior Fire Officer 1 Cristina Bato, an estimated 4 million- peso damage has been done by the fire which started at 4 o’clock and the morning and was controlled an hour after.

Investigation says that the fire started at Color Kingdom, a business establishment selling paints, but investigation is still going on as the authorities would not like to jump into conclusions.

The fire set blaze over Tiu Building that is occupied by Harwings Surplus owned by Rowena Yang, Maybelle Dental Clinic owned by Maybelle Siao, Jensen Auto Parts, Phillip Beauty Salon, Pacific Agrivet Supply, Natasha, Asian Lending owned by Guillermo Soco, Globel Videoke, Martinez Building occupied by Chibugan along Sta. Rosa, Orbita Building occupied by Negros Oriental Hospital and Health Cooperative, Sarana Apartment Door 1 occupied by Jun Eltanal, Door 2 occupied by former counselor Dr. Urbano Diga, Door 3 occupied by Sarana Family and the fourth door, Tingting Rent a Motorcycle owned by Ramil Uy and the Grau apartment.
