Teves confirms funding
From Malacanang
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has given more funds for the third district of Oriental Negros, confirmed 3rd District Representative Pryde Henry Teves.
Congressman Teves, who has just arrived in Dumaguete City after having been confined at the St. Luke’s Medical Center for almost two months, revealed that the executive officer has promised an additional fund for his jurisdiction after the bombing tragedy at the Batasang Pambansa but he did not reveal how much.
Representative Pryde Henry Teves attained severe injuries during the blast but he has managed to survive and has already come home to Negros Oriental. The congressman disclosed that about 63 % of his body was scorched. He described the President’s assistance as “consuelo” and opted to continue early childhood developments as his major concern as he resumes in office after the tragedy.
The solon will already join the Congress in its opening session this coming January 28. He disclosed that it won’t bother him even if he is still on a wheelchair.
The solon’s left foot was severely fractured and the steel braces on it will be removed in the middle of March yet. It is expected that by that time he can already walk.
