Malayang: chair of Board of Trustee not stranded
Silliman University President Dr Ben Malayang denied the allegation that the chair of the Silliman University Board of Trustees is stranded at Nigeria and needs financial assistance.
He described the e-mail scattering this information to be a malicious e-mail scam. Dr Malayang cleared that what is stated in the e-mail is not true. He said that it is not true that Dr Leonor Briones is not stranded at Nigeria and does not need three thousand dollars in order to come back to the Philippines.
Malayang pointed out that he was able to talk with Dr Briones yesterday morning and he will be coming to Dumaguete, from Manila, this Friday in order to attend the special meeting of the board of trustees of the university.
Dr Malayang warned the public to be careful with e-mail scams.
