Fr Tulabing admits division of CBCP -F
The Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has not yet issued a new statement said the Vicar-general of the Archdiocese of Dumaguete Fr Gamaliel Tulabing.
According to Fr Tulabing who was interviewed with DYEM Energy FM Dumaguete Tonight there is nothing new on the statement of the CBCP except on its call to abolish Executive Order 464 which prohibits the members of the cabinet to face and attend investigations without the permit of the President and to allow the officials of the government to testify for the truth.
Fr Tulabing disclosed that he was already expecting that the CBCP will not call for the resignation of President Gloria Arroyo. He explained that the decision of the CBCP means that they are giving the authority to decide to the Filipino people. However, he also believed that it is impossible for an EDSA 3 to take place since the people are already tired of this matter. In this anomalous issue which is currently engulfing the nation, Fr Tulabing said, what is important is for the truth to come out.
Fr Tulabing added that it is very sad to note that the loyalty of the people is not for the truth but for certain personalities. He said that this is one of the failures of the church to persuade the people to go for the truth and not for certain personalities.
