Outgoing Chief Cop leaves toll orders to successor
Outgoing Chief of Police Lieutenant Col Dionardo Carlos leaves Dumaguete with toll orders for his succesor Supt Leopoldo Cabanag to follow if not keep up.
Col Carlos formally turned over the command of the Dumaguete City Police to Supt Leopoldo Cabanag as the Officer-in-Charge of the police here in the city.
In his speech, Supt Carlos assured the people that although he will no longer be here, still he will support and help the police force. If Carlos will already be in Camp Crame, he said, he could serve as the Public Relation Officer of the city. This will be through fast actions of concreting the lawn of the Dumaguete City Police Station, landscaping and creating a mini-park in the area. Also, he aims to provide roofing of the roof deck of the Police Station.
Carlos thanked Sr/Supt Melvin Ramon Buenafe, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office Director, who has assigned him to the police force in Dumaguete.
Carlos also disclosed that if Sr/Supt Buenafe be a Chief PNP, he will voluntarily be his Public Information Officer.
