Solon oks JDV’s resignation
It is not important for the Negros Oriental first district Congressman as to whoever would be the President of the Lakas Party.
According to Congresswoman Josy Limkaichong, her loyalty is with the party and not with the personalities who are leading the party. She disclosed that it was better for Jose de Venecia to resign rather than he would be expelled from his post.
However, Congresswoman Limkaichong admitted that the proposed merging of Lakas and Kampi by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo would still need much studying and analysis.
Congresswoman Limkaichong disclosed that many of the members of the Kampi party are not in favor of the notion since they will lose their identity. She added that in both parties, Lakas and Kampi, there are against the idea of the merger.
